Fight the Trump Takeover
Democracy is in danger. This is a NATIONWIDE DAY OF ACTION due to what is happening in TX. Please instead join us at the Lorain County Clerk of Courts building (where Bob Latta’s office is). From there, those who are able will march to the courthouse along the sidewalk.
Trump and his allies are redrawing districts, silencing voters of color, and attacking the Voting Rights Act. What’s happening in Texas is a warning for the entire country.
We must defend the vote, protect our rights, and stop this anti-democratic power grab—before it spreads nationwide.
You can park in the Lorain County Parking Garage located near the courthouse and city hall. Additionally, there is street parking and Elyria Public Library offers parking.

One Million Rising Gathering
Feeling concerned about MAGA's ICE raids, Medicaid and SNAP cuts, defunding of PBS and NPR, and closing government agencies? We are too and we're not going to sit by and watch!
Join us for a One Million Rising Resistance Gathering!
Lorain County Rising invites you to join us as we organize and determine the ways we will strategically be non-cooperative in order to fight burgeoning authoritarianism in our nation. Together, we can do this!
At this gathering, we will stand in community together, ready to take action. We will participate in a lively discussion to address the real time threat America is facing as it shifts away from our democratic values and into an authoritarian regime. We will talk through ways our community can take action and help stop this through noncooperation techniques, and how in so doing we will be part of national action that will affect real change.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
